Shopping and family fun on Northampton Market this Easter

In the lead up to Easter, visitors to the town centre will be treated to some family fun and seasonal shopping on the Market Square.

On Sunday 9 April, shoppers will have the opportunity to peruse over 30 stalls showcasing a range of local produce, unique gift ideas and cards. Stalls already signed up to take part in the Fair between 11am and 4pm include Cakes, Bakes and Perfect Puddings, Frost’s Boutique, The Candy Collection, Hunnybun’s Homemade Bracelets and Wild Game Meats.

The Market’s usual food outlets will be joined by pizza and bakery stalls to ensure people are well fuelled during their trip.

In addition to the Fair, a free Easter Egg Hunt taking place around the stalls will help to keep the little ones busy during your shopping trip. Clue sheets can be picked up from the Market Office from 11am and once completed, they can be returned and exchanged for a small chocolate treat.

A second Easter Egg Hunt follows a week later on Saturday 15 April.

Cllr Phil Larratt, the Deputy Leader of the Borough Council, said: “We hope that our family friendly activities on the market square continues to attract people into the town centre.

“The Easter Egg Hunt is the perfect way for families to get involved, explore the market stalls during the Easter period, and enjoy what local traders and surrounding shops and restaurants have to offer.”
