It is with a certain amount of sadness that I write this news item to announce that I am retiring from my role as Editor of Market Trade News with effect from the end of October 2018.

Enjoy retirement Peter !

This will be my second retirement, having originally retired from the same position in December 2011 but then, in February this year, I was asked to return to fill the position once again after the departure of Kirsty Flatt.

I have really enjoyed the past nine months meeting up with old friends in the market industry once again but it is now time to hand over the reins to Matt Steele who has a vast amount of market experience, having previously worked as a Market Manager and also for the international market operation, Groupe Geraud. Matt will commence work on the next issue of MTN and I’m sure that he will settle in quickly and carry on the good work of editing this great magazine. He will, no doubt, be in touch with many markets in his first few weeks to introduce himself to market managers and discuss how MTN can help their markets going forward. I wish him all the very best for the future in his new role and his participation in the continued success of MTN.

The new MTN editor, Matt Steele

I shall be getting back to doing more fishing and golfing and I wish all MTN readers a merry Christmas and a prosperous and happy New Year. Anyone wanting to get in touch with the new editor Matt Steele should email matt.steele@markettradenews.com
