“Oldham Council is proud of our men and women who serve in the armed forces and the borough has always supported and honoured them.”
“Armed Forces Day is a good way to show our appreciation of the work that service personnel do and I’m pleased so many local businesses have answered our call to arms and are doing their bit and getting involved.”

Armed Forces Day (https://www.armedforcesday.org.uk) is a national event and is a chance for you to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community.
It is also a great way for communities and organisations across the country to show their support for the armed forces, providing a much valued morale boost for the troops and their families.
Oldham Council is already signed up to the Armed Forces Community Covenant, which aims to encourage local communities to support services that promote and encourage activities that help integrate armed forces personnel back into civilian life.
