A new food festival has been introduced in Glasgow. The Big Feed was first launched as a one day Saturday event in the beginning of March. Such was its success that the second Big Feed takes place over a weekend, offering even more choice from some of the finest food traders Scotland has to offer.

The event takes place in a warehouse in Govan in Glasgow’s south side and visitors can expect everything from authentic Scottish cuisine, fresh seafood, Prosecco bar, farmhouse ice cream, burgers, wood fired pizzas and hand crafted Scottish beers. Even vegans are well catered for.

The warehouse, location at 249 Govan Road, is run by Glasgow the Caring City, a charity which supports children and young people in crisis at home and overseas. They provide skills to help them gain employment and a share of the proceeds from the first event went to the charity, whilst some of the young apprentices in the programme helped to prepare for the event. The events will continue to support the charity.
