Autumn Fair 2017

The season’s largest home and gifting trade event, is gearing up for this year’s show at the NEC from 3-6 September covering, 12 key buying sectors with a plethora of new and well-established designers and brands from across the globe. Boosted by a dynamic and engaging programme of insightful talks on the latest trends and one-to-one sessions with leading industry figures, Autumn Fair 2017 is a must for buyers, retailers and exhibitors worldwide.

The show’s 12 sectors, comprising Home; Gift; Contemporary Gift & Living; The Light Show; Children’s Gifts, Toys & Gadgets; Greetings; Fashion, Jewellery & Accessories; The Summerhouse; Body, Bath & Home Fragrance; Brands of China; Retail Solutions; and Volume & Housewares, will cover the entire retail spectrum, meaning there truly is something for everyone.

The new Appointment Planner

With so much to see and do, visitors and exhibitors can make use of Autumn Fair’s brand-new Appointment Planner, which is a dedicated online matchmaking tool for prospective buyers and exhibitors to set up meetings in advance and make the most of their time at the show. An incredibly useful tool and completely free of charge, the Appointment Planner will help create an unrivalled number of connections for exhibitors and visitors alike.

Inside Retail Hub

Over at the expanded Inside Retail Hub there will be a carefully-curated schedule of events designed to give practical, tailored advice to businesses, including Meet the Experts sessions, Retail Workshops and inspirational and empowering talks hosted at the Inside Retail Theatre.

Meet the Experts

Due to growing demand, the hugely popular Meet the Experts will feature a bigger line up of 30 experts from a variety of industry backgrounds. Meet The Experts gives retailers the chance to book a free of charge, one-to-one, 15-minute slot with the likes of winner of the BBC series The Great Interior Design Challenge designer Martin Holland and visual merchandiser Debbie Flowerday.

Retail Workshops

New to the show this year as part of the Inside Retail Hub, the Retail Workshops give visitors the opportunity to attend complimentary presentations from aspirational figures in the retail industry, covering new skills and coveted business acumen. Visitors can hear about what’s new in retail store design, growing online sales internationally and what’s needed to make E-commerce really work.

Inside Retail Theatre

A programme of inspirational talks will take place at the Inside Retail Theatre throughout the show, walking visitors through the most important aspects of a retail business and how they can improve their own. Presentations will be delivered from the Trends and Inspirations Catwalk and the Master the High Street stages.

Visitors will be wowed at the Trends and Inspirations Catwalk by the visual representation of the hottest products displayed on the stands at Autumn Fair. Taking place daily, the live showcase will highlight the upcoming trends for the year ahead.

The Master the High Street Theatre will feature a number of seminars focused on selling on the high street, including visual merchandising, what to buy at Autumn Fair
and how retailers can best arrange their business administration and operate as an independent.

All in all, retailers will be sure to leave this year’s Autumn Fair with a wealth of knowledge of how to improve their businesses and boost revenue ahead of the lucrative Christmas period.
